About Me
I'm Ami Bornstein - a filmmaker and musician based in Nanoose Bay, BC.
Over the past 20 years, I've worked on all sides of the camera - directing, filming, editing, lighting, and color grading.
Through everything, I've learned to keep things simple: good visuals, good people, and honest storytelling.
I'm drawn to work that feels real. I love creating videos for businesses, artists, and brands that want something that doesn't feel overly produced or generic.
I'm especially comfortable with a documentary-style, run-and-gun approach, where I can move quickly and capture things as they happen, but still make it look polished and cinematic.
Color grading is where I really enjoy spending time. It's the part where everything starts to come together.
I like to take the footage and give it a clean, refined look that feels cohesive and intentional. It's one of the things I do best.
I work with clients across Vancouver Island - from small local businesses and boutique shops to artists and musicians. I prefer to keep things personal and boutique, so I can focus on the details and make sure each project feels like it was made just for them.
I believe the best work comes from a calm, collaborative process where everyone feels heard and understood.
My goal is to make the experience easy, and the final video something you're genuinely proud of.
If you're looking for a filmmaker who cares about the story, the visuals, and the people behind it, I'd love to hear from you.
